Dakota Park lies at the centre of Chapelford Urban Village, a David Wilson Homes led development of approximately 3500 homes at the edge of Warrington. The site is a former military airbase, and is consequently very flat, resulting in the consideration of drainage design across the site. TPM Landscape have assisted David Wilson Homes in overcoming the site constraints, producing a design with substantial earth modelling and earthworks, land drainage, sculptured mounds, play areas, sports pitches and formal entrance gateways with artwork commemorating the former site use.  The park opened for public use in 2012
