Environmental Impact Assessment

Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment is at the heart of most EIA work and TPM Landscape have been involved in the preparation of many studies which have formed part of completed Environmental Statements.  We have prepared chapters on Landscape and Visual Impacts for Environmental Statements for a wide range of projects in sensitive areas, including major bio-energy plants in historic Edinburgh, rural Scotland and on the edge of Manchester city centre, as well as large scale residential developments on the edge of National Park, city centre tall buildings in historic settings and major urban extensions.

We have assisted clients in the scoping stages of projects as well as developing detailed assessment reports and support up to and including the planning process, often managing to successfully scope Landscape and Visual Effects out of the ES process at an early stage.

Ultimately complex and controversial schemes may be considered at planning inquiry and our experience ensures that completed work is structured in a robust and resilient technical report suitable for such a test.
